Trundle Hill turn out
In the Trundle Hill Downland Race at Lancing on Wednesday 16th May there were eight Lewes members competing in a race with 326 competitors.
First for Lewes was Pablo Ibarguren who has currently hit fine form finishing in 10th position in a time of 40mins 47secs. Next across the line was Colin Bennett in 26th position in 43.48 with Mat Haycock next in 38th position in 45.34. Just missing out finishing in the top 50 was Mat Homewood in 52nd position in a time of 46.58 with Mick Acott in 133rd position in 52.05. Making up the team of eight Lewes AC runners were David Foster in 167th position in 54.15, Clare Anstee 202nd in 57.02 and David Feintuck 255th in 61.27.
Altogether the Lewes eight runners brought the Lewes team home in 9th position out of the 17 competing teams.
This result keeps Lewes AC creeping up the league positions in the year long West Sussex Fun Run League competition.
