Sussex Schools Combined Events
Wednesday 6th June the Sussex schools combined events champs held at Withdean Stadium had three Lewes athletes entered.
Luca Bish came tenth in the Junior Boys competition a great result for him, he must have come away from Withdean with neck ache after having to look up to all the year 9 Boys being the only year 8 entered.
Livvy Connor added yet another Gold medal to her growing collection together with 4 pbs and two club records.
Her Penthalon total of 2684 points breaks the club record by 200 points and places her 4th in the UK. High Jump 1.53m, Long Jump 4.74m, Shot 8.45m 75m Hurdles 12.3 and 800m 2.49
Polly Saunders came 8th again a good result also being 1st year in the age group.
She started poorly in the 75m Hurdles and Shot normally her better events but with pbs in the High Jump 1.35m the Long Jump 4.16m and a fine 2.48.03 in the 800m finished the day on a high.
