Star performances by Lewes AC Pole Vaulters
The Lewes AC pole vaulters had some excellent results when competing at the Carshalton indoor arena at the Sutton Field Event Festival.
The star of the day must be 11 year old Jack Harris competing in the under 13 boys pole vault. Jack successfully progressed through the heights with each one being a personal best and a club record (2.52m 2.62m 2.72m and 2.82m) Jack still only 11 now lies 7th on the UK all time lists for the under 13 boys. In the competition he had three very good attempts at a new British indoor record height of 2.92m and only just missed out.
Also increasing their life time bests were James Shackleton in the under 20 men’s event with a vault 3.92m. Livvy Connor in the 17 women’s category again broke her pole vault personal best with a new club record of 3.52m
