Lewes A team take third place in South Downs Relay

On Saturday 5th June 2010 the Senior A team of Sussex AC took bronze medals in the 100 mile South Downs Relay. With 57 teams entered from across the South of England a third place for Lewes was a fantastic achievement. Well done guys. Sussex schools combined events.

Wednesday 2nd June at Withdean stadium. Lewes athletes Livvy Conner, Millie Cable, Ruby Whyte-Wilding and Alex Chitty took the year 7 girls Quadrathlon by storm. Alex Chitty finished in 10th position 70m hurdles 15.7, Long jump 3.22, Shot putt 4.76m and 3.01.9 for 800m. Emilie raises the bar again.

Emilie Blackwell U17W competed on Sunday in the National Junior league at Eastbourne. Looking for higher level vault competition before next weekends Southern championships. There were great results for Lewes athletes who competed over the weekend in the Sussex outdoor championships held at K2 Crawley. Lee Valley Open.

Saturday 10th April 2010. Naomi Lee added a metre to her U15G Club Hammer record (31.65). Emilie Blackwell Vaulted 3,10 to add 30cm to the outdoor U17W record. Livvy (the cat) Conner equalled her U13G vault record with 2.60m and added the 100m record to her collection (13.98) The U13G 100m record had stood for 21 years.

Winning five of the six events Lewes AC made sure that they were the overall winners of the Sussex Sunday league. Golden Hat-trick for Lewes Pole Vaulters.

Three gold medals and one Silver for the Lewes pole vaulters during the Sussex indoor championships held on 6th/7th March at the Sutton arena.
