Four Lewes vaulters competed on Sunday 17th April at the Walton open meeting. James (Jim) Shackleton U17M set a new p.b. by 8cm clearing 2.80m. There were some stunning performances by Lewes AC members in Sunday’s Brighton Marathon. With over 6,000 runners Robbie James was 10th overall in a time 2.37.49, was the second runner from Sussex and the first man over 40. Not to be outdone Maria Judd was 20th women in the marathon in a time of 3.21.33 and was the third women in the over 45 category….

In a close fought league competition Lewes AC won the last event at Cross in Hand which gave the club the league win consisting of six events. Sunday 13th March @ Carshalton. The last indoor Pole Vault competition of the winter season saw seven vaulters from the Lewes based squad travel to Carshalton, joining sixty like minded athletes. Five Lewes AC athletes are off to Crofton Park Birmingham to represent Sussex in the Inter County Cross Country Championships.
