On a blazing hot Saturday on the 4th June 2011 the Lewes AC A team took the bronze medal in the 100 mile South Downs Relay. Their time was a very creditable 11 hours 11 minutes. Sam Brown cleared 4.21m to set a new club senior record and Claudette Povey set a new club women’s record with a pb 2.50m. Emilie Blackwell cleared a new pb of 3.35m to set a new U17W record. Millie Cable added the club 200m U15 girls outdoor record to her recently set 200m indoor record. Her time of 26.97 set at the Crawley open on Sunday 24th April knocks over half a second off the previous club best.
