Goodwood Cross Country Relays

Club runners were in action in the cross country relays at Goodwood on Saturday 29th September. The best performance from Lewes was the under 15 boy’s team of James Martin, Sam Rogers and Aiden Briffet in securing the silver medal in their event. Vaulters sucess

Lewes AC pole vaulters took part the Jim Day Memorial Pole Vault Competition at the Sutton Arena on the 23rd September where 100 vaulters from a wide range of clubs across the South East were competing for honours. Internatioanl Success for Dave and Alf

David Bradford competing in the Berlin Marathon and Alf Pollard competing the World Duathon Championships in Nancy in France both came away with some stunning results. In busy weekend for Lewes AC road runners 14 club members took part in the Seven Stiles race at Henfield on Saturday 15th Sept. PBs aplenty on the prom

Twenty members of Lewes AC took part in the Hove Prom 10K road race on Sunday. Despite a noticeable south-westerly breeze, several athletes recorded personal best (PB) performances on the pan-flat, two-lap promenade course. In a race won by Neil Boniface (Horsham Joggers) in 32mins 02secs, the Lewes club’s top finisher was David Bradford, who placed third in 33:15, equalling his PB for the distance….

Sussex Combined Events Championships – Three medals for Lewes AC athletes

There were three athletes competing in the Combined Events Championships over the weekend all of whom came away with championship medals. Myles Bickmore-Vaughan in the U13 boys Pentathlon won silver, Livvy Conner in the U15 girls won gold and Ella James in the U17 women’s Heptathlon won a bronze medal.
