The Brighton Phoenix 10K

Despite several forced withdrawals due to injury and circumstances, 12 Lewes AC turned out for a gruelling Phoenix 10k on Wednesday evening the 17th July. In the blazing evening sunshine with the temperature still around 23C there were some great performances. Crawley Track and Field Open Meeting -17th July 2013

On the same day and evening as the Phoenix 10K Lewes AC had 10 younger athletes competing in the open event at Crawley. It must have been something in the air as the ten athletes achieved 12 life time bests in their events. This included a new club record for Sam Rogers who ran 2mins 07.20 for the under 15 boys 800 metres.
