Livvy Connor – Selected for AASE Programme
Lewes AC’s leading Pole Vaulter Livvy Connor has just received news that UK Athletics recognises her outstanding Vaulting
and have offered her a place on their prestigious Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) programme in 2015.
A great achievement as only athletes who their National Governing body, in this case UK Athletics feel have demonstrated potential to perform at the highest level are selected for the programme. Livvy has been ranked in the UK top ten in Pole Vault for the last four years and has won both Indoor and Outdoor National age group championships.
Livvy will join other elite young athletes aged 16-18 from a variety of sports going to regional centres across the UK studying for this National Vocational Qualification in Sporting Excellence.
She will attend workshops at Lee Valley and St Marys University during 2015 to develop a broad range of competencies, transferable skills and sporting qualifications.
