Lewes Win first Sunday Cross Country event
There was a tremendous turnout of Lewes AC runners for the first Sunday XC league event at Whitbread Hollow.
There were 4 senior Lewes runners in the first 6 with Robbie James back into form winner in 28.26. The Bradford boys came in 3rd and 5th with David just winning the battle with his brother Matt. Ludo Goodliffe with a tremendous run came in 6th.
First women runner for Lewes was Sarah Miles who despite not feeling well throughout the race came in with a good time of 40.50.
John Coleman was the first over 60 in the race with Mike Lane and Peter Masters battling it out to be first over 65. Mike just grabbing the position over the last 100 metres.
The Lewes AC team won with 686 points with the next nearest team scoring over 200 points more
