Lewes win at Carshalton
Lewes AC team with Haywards Heath Harriers won the Southern Athletics League match at Carshalton on Saturday 10th August by over 60 points.
The team scores were Lewes AC with Haywards Heath Harriers 277 points: Holland Sports 210.5 points: Sutton and District 167 points: Invicta East Kent 116 points and Poole Runners 82.5 points.
In this match Sam Brown set a new league record for the pole vault with a vault of 4.30m not to be out done Livvy Connor also set a new League and club record with a vault of 3.50m. On the records front Chris Pilling set a new club record for the triple jump with a jump of 12.23m.
Congratulation also must go to Ruby Whyte-Wilding who tackled for the first time the tough 1500m steeple chase and won the A race in a time of 5mins.51.6secs which put her 35th on the UK rankings.
