Indoor club records for Gemma & Jack
The hard work put into winter training paid off for Gemma Tutton (U11G) and Jack Harris (U15B) in the South London Athletics Network open held at Carshalton on Sunday 4th January.
Gemma in her first Indoor competition added 25cm to her outdoor best clearing 1.90m new U11 record.
Whilst Gemma had the pressure of being the first competitor to vault in front of a large audience, with 26 athletes in the pool Jack Harris had to wait nearly 3 hours to enter the competition. It was worth the wait as he added 20cm to his outdoor best setting a new club Indoor record clearing 3.30m. Its early in the season but this does put him 30cm clear at the top of the UK rankings.
