What is the West Sussex Fun Run League (WSFRL)?
Participation, camaraderie among fellow runners, and fun are at the heart of West Sussex Fun Run League (WSFRL) races, making them enjoyable for all.
Seventeen clubs from around Sussex participate in the WSFRL. Each club holds an annual event open to any runner, regardless of whether affiliated with the League. Many races feature the opportunity to run over the stunning South Downs.
Who can take part in a WSFRL event?
Member clubs gain points for participation and position. The WSFRL adds up the points during the season to arrive at a club score and position within the League.
For this reason, the events are suitable for runners of all ages and abilities, and we encourage club members to participate.
Where do WSFRL events take place?
West Sussex Fun Run League events take place at locations all over the county. Local running clubs take turns in hosting fixtures.
What distance will I be expected to run?
All League races are between 5 and 10km, with reasonable entry costs. Most events also include a junior race of at most 1 mile.
Lewes Athletic Club’s WSFRL Easter Fun Run
On Easter Monday, Lewes Athletic Club organises a 10k and 1-mile run, which are part of the League. Head over to our Easter Fun Run for more information and details about how to take part.
