Vaulters sucess
Lewes AC pole vaulters took part the Jim Day Memorial Pole Vault Competition at the Sutton Arena on the 23rd September where 100 vaulters from a wide range of clubs across the South East were competing for honours.
First from Lewes to claim a medal was Freya Fitchett who secured a silver medal in the under 13 girl’s event with a vault of 1.92m. Also with a silver medal was Jack Harris in the under 13 boy’s event with a vault of 2.12m.
Livvy Connor with a vault of 3.32m in the under 15 girls event was a gold medal winner.
Moving up the age groups Chris Pilling with a vault of 3.62m secured a silver medal in the under 23 men’s category and Claudette Povey in the under 23 women’s category came away with a bronze medal with a vault of 2.12m.
