LEWES AC WIN EAST SUSSEX CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE
In a close fought league competition Lewes AC won the last event at Cross in Hand which gave the club the league win consisting of six events. It was nip and tuck with Hailsham Harriers right up to the last match which Lewes AC won. Equal on points at the end Lewes AC won the league by having won more of the individual events.
Over all there were some tremendous individual performances with the Bradford Brother leading the charge. David came first at the Cross in Hand event and second overall in the league. His brother Matt came fifth at Cross in Hand and second in the league over all.
Other league trophy winners were Simon Thomas coming second in the men over 40 category and John Lowden winning the men over 50 category. John Coleman won the men over 60 category with Peter Masters winning the men over 65 category and Mike Lane picking up third place in the same over 65 age group.
In the women’s category Karin Divall came third in the women over 45 category.
